Paroles décousues d'une femme infertile.
Stuff it! I feel way to unhappy to be worrying about whether my French makes the grade or not. I hope none of you are going over my texts with the intent of correcting them, it could take you a loooong, looong time. I already have my infertility to deal with and I haven't got much time for anything else really. So, as I was saying stuff my French! To those of you who can, try to read my updates in English as you'll get more info out of them as compared to the agonising French ones.
Our appointment in Rouen was a disappointment, and that is to say the least. In fact, it was a total disaster. The doctor in Rouen didn't have my file ( even though my doctor's office claims to have sent the file and faxed further info 3 times!!) and when she asked me for details concerning my medical history I started off telling her about the time I broke my nail during a basketball game when I was in High School which she didn't find amusing at all! ( I'm a very funny woman, as long as there isn't a pregnant woman or baby in sight!!) She wanted DETAILED medical info concerning everything that had been done to me and that, I did not have. So anyway, after a whole 15 minutes we were off to see the wonders of Rouen and enjoy the rest of our day touring the town since we'd never been. But not before the doctor shouted across the reception area on the way back to her office that I shouldn't be on my period for the next appointment in September (much to the amusement of the other patients, I didn't find it funny at all) She also decided she was going to implant one embryo because there's a very high risk of miscarriage due to scarring from prevoius operations and I'm not too pleased about that either.I left her office with a pile of prescriptions for tests to be done, papers to be signed for next time and a whole lot of reading to be done! Luckily enough I've read up a lot on IVF otherwise I woudn't have known what she was going on about. My husband had no clue what was going on and I had to explain everything to him over lunch. He stll hasn't understood much so I'm dealing with all the appointments until he gets into the swing of things.
I'm going to make an appointment for him for a Spermogram sometime in August and that should be fun. The last time he had a Spermogram was about 5 years ago and I made sure the visits to the lab were memorable, if you see what I mean
. I'm preparing repeat perfomances to keep some form of excitement in the making of our baby! Gotta go now, it's 4 o'clock in the morning and I have an appointment an 10. Aghrrrrrrr
